Audtions for 2018-19 Drama Classes,

2018 Fall Play & Summer Stock Plays

will be held May 14-16, 2018

Auditions are open to all students, including incoming Freshmen, for placement in Intermediate or Advanced Drama and to be cast in the Fall Mainstage Production.

 

Students will be placed in the appropriate drama class based on skill, knowledge and experience as demonstrated in the audition/interview.

Times are available from 2:00 - 5:00 on Monday through Wednesday, May 14-16.

You need only attend one 10-minute audition slot to audition for the play and both classes.

 

This is where you will enter your personal information and indicate which class(es) and/or play for which you wish to be considered.

 

Audition Requirements

 

Advanced Drama

Prepare two contrasting monologues, each 1-2 minutes in length.  

One monologue must be Classical (pre-1900) and one must be Contemporary (1901-present).  

Theatrical material (plays & musicals) are preferred, but film and television material is permitted.

The monologues should be contrasting in style, such as comedic vs. dramatic, or distinctly different characters.

 

Intermediate Drama

Prepare one monologue, 1-2 minutes in length from any era and any genre.

Theatrical material (plays & musicals) are preferred, but film and television material is permitted.

 

2018 Fall Play

Prepare one monologue, 1-2 minutes in length from any era and any genre.

Your audition for Intermediate or Advanced will serve as your audition for the play as well.

You must request a drama class on your 2018-19 course request form (you are not required to be enrolled in a drama class if it does not fit in your schedule).

Call Backs for all students being considered for a role will be held on Tuesday, 5/22 & Thursday 5/24 from 3:30 - 6:00 pm.
