Deena Ansari is a junior at Irvine High school partaking in the production Freaky Friday. Deena is thrilled to be a part of Freaky Friday. As a member of the pit, she has been working hard all semester in her music class to perform and play well. She has played saxophone since 5th grade. Deena joined music class freshman year and is now a part of Irvine’s Jazz I and Wind Symphony. Deena would like to thank her pit members and friends for supporting her! She has really enjoyed working on Freaky Friday and hopes that everyone enjoys the show!

Freaky Friday is Nathan’s second and last time playing in the pit, his first time being in the 2019 production Bring It On. He’s been involved in the music program for all four years as a guitarist in the jazz ensemble, and as a concert and marching percussionist. As a senior, his goal is to have as much fun as he can with the people around him and the time that he has left. Nathan would like to thank his friends, family, and teachers who have supported him in pursuing his passion for music, and is looking forward to what the rest of his musical journey has in store for him.

Rachel Nakatsukasa is very excited to be playing in the pit for Freaky Friday. She is currently a sophomore and is in multiple musical ensembles such as orchestra, jazz, and choir. Rachel also played in the pit for last year’s musical, Bring It On,and is thrilled to be part of another show. She thanks the rest of the pit orchestra and all of the cast and crew for such an amazing production.

Yubin Jee is a senior at Irvine High School partaking in her second production: Freaky Friday. She is playing the cello in the pit orchestra. Yubin would like to thank Faith and Daniel for performing in the orchestra with her and always being by her side.

Jia-Wei Dang is doubled up as a technician and musician. She is usually seen backstage or in the lobby helping out, but this year is her first time as a musician in the musical. Jia-Wei is excited to be both a technician and musician in Freaky Friday because it gives her a chance to see the musical from different perspectives, and utilize her different talents. Jia-Wei is a section leader in the Mighty Marching Vaqueros as well as a four year member of the IHS music program. Jia-Wei would like to thank Jared Agapito for helping her out with sound so she can double up in the pit, as well as Mr. C and Mr. V for the opportunities they have given her.

Faith Lee is a senior playing in her first production. She is one of the two violinists playing in the Freaky Friday musical. Faith would like to thank Yubin and Daniel for playing with her in the pit and for making her first and last musical one to remember.

Dylan Kaino is a senior thrilled to play in the orchestra of his first ever production, Freaky Friday. As a clarinet player, he has been playing in Wind Symphony for two years. Dylan would like to thank Mr. Venlet for giving him this wonderful opportunity, and would like to thank everyone in the orchestra and cast for being so kind and helpful. He has had a wonderful time working on Freaky Friday and hopes that everyone enjoys the show!
